This month we have been delighted to hear of so many encouragements from our community projects. Read below to see some of the highlights from School House Cafe, The Armoury and Jigsaw

School House Cafe
Update from Cheryl
At the start of March we made some changes to our prices and menu. These changes are for a variety of reasons, including wanting to make our kitchen more efficient and coping with VAT rising. This has been met overall with a positive reaction, which has been a great blessing and reminder of how much our customers do support what we are doing.
Over the past few months we have had conversations with the Star College about having volunteers come in and learn practical skills and experience. This is something we have not been able to do with Star College since before the pandemic. We have been delighted to have a new volunteer join us for 5 weeks. We are excited to see our partnership with the Star College flourish and welcome even more volunteers from them in the future.

The Armoury
Update from Jamie
This month we are celebrating 3 Years of the Armoury! A huge thank you to all of you who have supported our journey over the last three years. It started with a couple of bikes in a basement to a fully functioning gym – we are so excited about how far it has come. We couldn’t have done it without you, and we are full of gratitude to you all and the community that has been created. We look forward to all that there is to come. Have a look at our Instagram for a video we put together celebrating the 3 years!
We are looking forward to the next few months of trying to sustain the gym and finesse the model so that we can do even more from a strong foundation.
We are having a good time at the Armoury despite illness covid and injuries we are still standing. It’s so evident that people are onboard with our mission and I’m praying that grows and continues.

Jigsaw + Make Lunch
Update from Kath
Jigsaw Drop In
The Monday morning family drop in continues to serve a need for young families, some from the local community and some from a little further afield. We are glad to see community building and more interaction amongst families as well as with the team.
Make Lunch
We held a Make Lunch in February half term and were joined by the Make Lunch regional coordinator who was both helpful and encouraging.

Thank you!
Thank you to everyone who supports these projects.
Check back next month where we will bring you more encouragements from our community projects next month!
